The Spoiled, But Jealous Baby Of The Family...

So I was doing some research for my English paper and I came across a type of dog breed called "Dogo Argentino." It's an Argentina dog often used for fighting.. Obviously not in the U.S because the choice in America for dog fighting is pit bulls. Anyways, I got interested in the name of the dog and decided to look them up and to my surprise my dog Tina looks exactly like them!! See for your self .....

& This Is Tina ......

Many people get their ears and sometimes their tails clipped to avoid it from getting ripped off during a fight or just to make the dog look 'alert' at all times. There are so many more pictures I can post of my dog that look just like the Dogo Argentino.

So after seeing the pictures I decided to do some more research on the breed. They are excellent guard dogs, most happiest when around their owner, eager to please, very playful, loves children, highly intelligent, loves to cuddle and give kisses, and much much more. Every description reminded me of my dog!

When I first got my dog she learned "Go to the cage," "Go lay down,"  and "Come here," in one day! It surprised me how fast she learned things.

So I'm not totally positive, but I think Tina might be a Dogo Argentino or Pit bull mixed with a Dogo. I am definitely going to get her blood tested to see what breed she is.. I can't wait to find out. I'll post the results as soon as I get them.

Enjoy your day :)

Give Me Some Suggie Love ;)

Soooo this passed Monday [Dec. 4] I finally purchased my two sugar gliders! One is a male named Nugget and the female is named Lilly-Pad. They are O-so adorable,  but they are still getting used to me and my boyfriend. With these little fuzzbutts you have to have a lot of patients with them in order for them to trust you. There's so much you have to do, but you cannot force a bond between you and them. My little ones were not handled much with their previous owners. This will be Lilly-Pad's 3rd home and I think its Nugget's 3rd home as well. The first two days after I brought them home were horrible. Nugget would lunge at me and bite me.  When I looked into the cage he would jump at my face. I read in many articles that you are supposed to let them bite you because if you pull away they feel dominant over you! HAHAHA OK. They do this thing called "crabbing" when they are afraid or mad and that was all they did when my boyfriend and I went next to the cage. THANKFULLY they are doing much better now. They hardly crab now and they are beginning to trust us a little. They used to snatch their treats and run back into their tent, but now they gently take their treats and slowly go back into their tent. Just the other nights I heard one of them bark! It was the CUTEST thing. They bark for numerous different reasons: when they want their owners to go to them, when they want their cage mates to come out and play, when they are warning others of danger, etc. You can hear one bark if you go on YouTube and type in sugar glider barking. They sound like puppies!! Anyways, Nugget kind of got on my pit bulls bad side by lunging at Tine (my pit bull) when she was looking at them through the cage. My dogs wont hurt them and I wont let her hurt them, but its just going to take some time for them to get along. My pit bull is very forgiving :) I will add some pics of my furry children!
Enjoy !
